The .gems team is happy to announce the beta launch of the .gems NFT marketplace, a curated environment for high-quality NFT artwork and collectibles.
With the recent boom of NFTs, the amount of content being published on platforms like AtomicHub has skyrocketed.
While it’s great to see lots of assets being minted, it’s made it more difficult to discover the real gems in the space.
While collectibles and game assets flood the market at a rapid pace and dominate the trading volume, works of art from independent artists trickle in much more slowly and often go unnoticed.
So when browsing a general purpose NFT marketplace, the chances to discover unique artworks is rather small. Talking to many independent artists over the last months, the .gems team identified this as one of the reasons why NFT artists are still hesitating to mint their work on either EOS or WAX.
Not serving the needs of artists would be a huge mistake.
CryptoArt has been the main driver for the growing popularity of NFTs. And curated platforms on Ethereum like SuperRare, KnownOrigin and Nifty Gateway have been hard at work vetting artists to lead up to the tremendous success.
A place like this has been missing in the EOSIO NFT space. Until now.
The .gems marketplace is designed to showcase high resolution artwork by hand selected artists. with a minimal design optimized to let the work itself shine.

The Chinese Mid Autumn Festival is coming up on September 21st and the .gems team has something special in the oven to celebrate the occasion.
In the days leading up to the festival, we’ll share a series of free NFT drops for early supporters of our previous EOS NFT releases. That means only collectors who held any of the following collections in their wallets will be whitelisted to participate in the drops:

Each drop will contain an ingredient needed to bake Mooncake NFTs.
What is a mooncake?

The blending recipe will go live on the day of the festival and will require the Water, Flour, Nuts and Sugar NFT ingredients to be blended together to create a mooncake.

The Emanate Native App for mobile is available for iOS and Android and introduces fundamental features to lead music streaming into the Play to Earn era.
