Who are we?
We are a group of dedicated, passionate and ambitious individuals aiming to contribute positively to the preservation of the EOS platform and its community.
We are members of the community. We strongly believe in this technology and the beneficial impact it will have on our society and each of us. Our goal is to represent each of you, to give you a say at the highest level. We will be your voice in the community, and we will take your projects to heart.
EOS is much more than a Blockchain protocol. EOS will redefine governance as we know it and has the potential to reduce inequalities in our society. Inequalities that have been shaped over centuries by a centralization of absolute power. The restoration of power to the people through decentralization is an attainable reality.
We are submitting our application as a Block Producer as we are confident in our capacity to represent the EOS community. We want each one of you to see yourselves in us.
Our vision for the future is a thriving self-governed society, where security of life and property are ensured, and everyone contributes positively to their community. Creating greater freedom for all of us, the EOS protocol will be this catalyst that will help us achieve this ideal. EOS will promote free market solutions and will be at the heart of our means of communication. Allowing each of us to have a safer life would be a way to maintain this balance among all, while promoting a healthy coexistence between different communities. EOS is an ecosystem of solutions for self-government, innovation and conflict resolution.
Our mission is to bring together all members of the EOS community under one project, under one roof. We want to represent you in the best way possible. We seek to offer you a place in this movement and in all decisions that will be made. By being accessible to the community in multiple jurisdictions, we will strive to contribute as best as we can to share this common vision we have for our future.
Our goal is to promote this movement around the world. We want to disseminate the societal benefits achievable through EOS through ongoing education, the sharing of knowledge and resources, community engagement, and the creation of projects. We believe this to be the most judicious way to foster the growth of the EOS community and the adoption of this new technology.
Transparency is one of the most important topics with everything happening in our world. Whether it is theft, extortion or corruption, all come from this lack of transparency which unfortunately governs our society. For our part, we believe in an open and transparent world. Everything must be done publicly and for all to see. Transparency should be an obligation in any society that is truly seeking the good of its community. It is for this reason that all processes within our governance will be disclosed and made available publicly. Our journey will be shared on different social media such as Steemit, Twitter and Facebook.
Being a Block Producer
Being a Block Producer is a role that we take to heart. Ensuring the benevolence and guardianship of the network would be a privilege for us, one that we would take with utmost integrity. As a community, you have the ability to entrust us with this paramount responsibility. As Block Producer, we will apply the constitution within the governance of the EOS protocol. We will promote freedom of expression by letting community members decide what needs to be censored or not. We will ensure that the community is heard and well represented at the highest level of EOS and EOS Nation governance.
Having good governance in a network is very important. The role of the constitution of EOS will aim to frame and indicate everything that will be done on the network. It will be the guideline that will structure the community, but also how it will be managed. It will allow the community to govern themselves and reduce inequalities among community members. It will therefore be important for us to follow it to the letter and apply it so that each of us is equal.
Our first goal is educating people about this new technology. As a Block Producer, we want to encourage the creation of events to inform the public about the good things that the EOS protocol will bring to our society. We want to encourage people in the community to contribute to the movement by hosting engagement sessions around the world. We also aim to create informative content that would be accessible to everyone, no matter where they reside, while being available in multiple languages so that everyone can promote the EOS ecosystem.
Our second goal is community support. As a Block Producer, we want to support the development of projects that will be designed on the EOS protocol. It is therefore our intention to contribute financially to the production of Decentralized Applications (DApps) to foster innovation within our community. Moreover, we also aim to create different initiatives to encourage the promotion of EOS in their environment. Our educational and promotional content will be made public so that our community can access it at any time for use during community engagement events.
Our last goal is sharing with the community. As Block Producers, we want to give back to the community and share our knowledge with them. Whether it is through the funding of projects, the creation of initiatives to promote EOS, or the redistribution of proceeds to token holders, we want to give the community recognition for making this unprecedented movement a reality.
Being accessible to the community and putting you at the center of our thoughts is a way for us to seek your support in promoting this initiative in your communities.
The community is the focal point of EOS Nation, the strength of it is crucial to our success. Being resilient and united, the community must be dedicated to promoting our shared vision. Being a Block Producer means creating different initiatives that will have an impact on the entire community. Moreover, all that is beneficial for the community is beneficial for the Block Producer since both are reliant on each other. This reliance loop solicits each one of us to pour our hearts and souls in this project as guardians of this ecosystem.

Expected location of servers
Hybrid approach - Cloud (AWS) for main full node & backup/secondary full nodes located in different geographical regions using bare metal.
For the cloud infrastructure we will be hosting our virtual instances with AWS Canada in the Canada (Central) region.
Bare Metal: The first two cities chosen by EOS Nation will be involved in the initial EOS testnet, the following expansion cities will soon follow after the EOS launch date.
- Toronto, ON (testnet)
- Ottawa, ON (testnet)
- Montreal, QC (proposed)
- Calgary, AB (proposed)
- Vancouver, BC (proposed)
Proposed technical specifications and total expenditure of resources for BP.
- Due to AWS's geographical hardware limitations, 4TB RAM is currently not available in AWS's Canada (Central) region.
- EOS.io has not yet defined the EOS Storage contract, the BP storage requirements may be upgraded and are subject to change if deemed valuable to the community.
Common Hardware Specifications
- Geographical Region Toronto, Canada
- Geopolitical Region: Canada
- Operating System Ubuntu Server 16.10
If EOS Nation is "appointed" as Block Producer, only 1 Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance will be running the main BP for the duration of the first election.
- Nodes 1x EC2 (x1.32xlarge)
- vCPUs 128 Cores
- Memory 2TB RAM
- Storage (IPFS) 2 x 1920GB (SSD)
- Network 25 Gigabit
If EOS Nation is "elected" as Block Producer, two Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances will be running as full EOS nodes. In the event of a failure of the main BP node, the secondary BP node will act as a backup and will become the main node. Minimal downtime shall be the main priority in case of a full node failure.
- Nodes 2x EC2 (x1.32xlarge)
- vCPUs 128 Cores
- Memory 2TB RAM
- Storage (ipfs) 2 x 1920GB (SSD)
- Network 25 Gigabit
Each major Canadian city will be expected to host an EOS full node which will be under the support of EOS Nation. Proper training of setting up & maintaining an EOS full node will be provided by EOS Nation. Once a city has proven they have the technical knowledge and bare metal hardware to provide support as a full node, their node will be added to the EOS Nation cluster BP and they will start to collect EOS Rewards.
Planned will require to be fully operational before June 3, 2018.
